Statement of Qualifications
For over 40 years Piedmont Environmental Drilling, Inc. has specialized in environmental and geotechnical drilling. From our fully equipped office and warehouse in Norcross, Georgia, we provide clients with well-maintained equipment operated by efficient and conscientious personnel.
We are certified drillers in Georgia. Piedmont Environmental Drilling, Inc. is bonded in the state of Georgia. Our experience includes GDOT highway and bridge work, utility infrastructure, landfills and commercial projects throughout Georgia.
Our staff of nine plus has a combined 60 years of tenure at Piedmont. Our management philosophy, which encourages teamwork and a sense of ownership, results in a dedicated team of conscientious professionals.
Our seven rigs consist of a 2022 Geoprobe 7822DT, 2022 CME 55 Track Mounted, 2019 Diedrich D-50 Track Mounted, 2018 CME 55 Low Clearance Track Mounted, 2008 Diedrich Track Mounted, 2002 Diedrich Track Mounted and 1999 CME 300 Track Rig. All support vehicles are modern and well-maintained. We have the capability to perform geotechnical drilling, including rock coring, as well as environmental drilling and sampling, including quick and efficient installation of 2, 4, and 6 inch diameter monitor wells. We also offer efficient land clearing for boring access via a John Deere MH60D attachment on a 333G Skid Steer.
Our types of drilling and drilling capabilities include hollow stem auguring; wireline coring; down hole hammer for rock drilling and easy groundwater identification; and mud rotary wash boring.
Piedmont Environmental Drilling, Inc. maintains and can provide a written Health and Safety plan. This includes annual physical examinations and annual training in health and safety for personnel involved in working with hazardous materials. The plan can be tailored to meet specific needs at individual hazardous materials sites. Our drilling personnel meets the requirements set forth by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 as to training on hazardous waste sites.
Our QA/QC procedures are strictly adhered to and we follow methods acceptable throughout our industry.

PRESIDENT AND SENIOR DRILLER
Drew is both the president of Piedmont Environmental Drilling and a Senior Driller. He holds a business degree and has been with the company for 9 years. He is an expert in geotechnical exploration projects, including hollow stem augers and NQ wireline coring.

This project consisted of standard test boring, straight auger boring, rock coring, use of water truck and backfilling.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA
This project consisted of standard test boring, straight auger boring, boring in excess of 50 feet, rock coring, use of water truck and backfilling.
MARK WARNER
SENIOR DRILLER
Mark is a Senior Driller and has been with Piedmont Environmental Drilling for 16 years. He has earned a position as a project driller and has been promoted to Senior Driller. His duties include the supervision of field crews and follow up to make sure our clients are satisfied. He is also responsible for training new drillers.

This project consisted of standard test boring, straight auger boring, rock coring, asphalt patching, use of water truck and backfilling.
Old Fourth Ward - Auburn Ave in Atlanta, GA
This project consisted of standard test boring, straight auger boring, boring in excess of 50 feet, and backfilling.
Recent Projects:
285 East Expansion Project
This project has taken place over several months for multiple clients in Atlanta, GA along the Eastside of I-285 in DeKalb Co.. The total invoicing amount is well over $100,000. This project has been completed via mostly night and on-road work, and has consisted of retrieving soil/rock samples through hollow stem augering, as well as NQ wireline rock coring.
McGinnis Ferry Project
This project was for the creation of a gas line in Suwanee, GA. The total invoicing amount is over $16,000. This project consisted of both geotechnical drilling and rock coring to an approximate depth of 130’ below surface. These borings were also backfilled with cement grout to prevent pressure loss during the next phase of work.
CDC Project
This project was drilled at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, GA. We were able to accommodate the client by sending four rigs/crews out on a weekend in order to meet time-sensitive project deadlines. The total invoicing amount is nearly $17,000. This project consisted of both geotechnical drilling and rock coring.
Concourse D Expansion
This project has taken place over 2022 and 2023 at the Atlanta Airport. The total invoicing is over $200,000. This project has included months of night work with crews working nights and days in order to meet project deadlines. The project consisted of deep foundation investigation, including borings over 110’.
